Born & brought up in Uttar Pradesh - the Hindi speaking belt of India, Mrs Asha Bali is a native speaker of the language. She did her Bachelors (B.A) from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Masters (M.A) from Gorakhpur University, Varanasi in 1980, followed by B. Ed. in 1981 and started teaching in Varanasi. She later moved to Lucknow and has been teaching actively since then till now.
At Lucknow, Mrs Bali taught at different schools like Blooming Buds, DAV School and then Study Hall School (SHEF). She taught at Study Hall for more than 23 years before retiring in 2021. Extremely popular amongst students, she is lovingly known as Asha aunty. She had been taking board classes since several years at the time of retirement. She is currently teaching in Laurels School.
Spoken Hindi
In addition to the regular Hindi teaching in schools, Mrs Bali has been instrumental in Yuva Manch - a theatre group of Study Hall, wherein she has directed several Hindi plays and has taught speech & diction to the participating students.
Literary Hindi
Mrs Bali has authored a Hindi Literary book titled" Ghan Ghan Antar Damini" (Available at Amazon and Exotic India Art) & has been authoring various articles in reputed Hindi magazines & newspapers like Kadambini, Kathakram, Dainik Jagran etc.
All classes are conducted over Zoom, typically in the evening (India time). There are no in-person classes. For international students, please contact the instructor for coordinating the time zones.
